How do I prepare for a Spray Tan?

For best results, you should exfoliate before spray tanning. Preferably a exfoliating cloth or body scrub. A loofah generally is for creating lather and does not exfoliate the best. Shaving your legs is also a good idea as this can help to exfoliate the skin. By removing the dead layer of skin, you allow the solution to dye the layer of skin that is likely to last the longest. You should also apply moisturizer to the tops of the feet, elbows & heels and remove makeup and deodorant prior to a spray tan. These items will create a barrier to the skin and they may cause a blotchy finish to your tan. If steps are done properly, you will receive a beautiful, even golden glow that will last.

Please be prepared with loose black clothing so that your spray tan can completely dry and not rub off on your clothes.

How do I maintain my tan?

After a spray tan, for best results, you must not shower for a minimum of four hours; this allows the tanning ingredient to take full effect. Over the following days the top layer of your skin naturally sheds in order to give way to newer skin. This is what causes the tan to fade. So, to extend the effects of the spray tan, you must use moisturizer regularly. We recommend a moisturizer that contains a light self tanning to prolong your tan and also enhance its glow.
